Henry Schein is one of the leading private-sector supporters of humanitarian crises worldwide. They have made a substantial impact through donations exceeding $50 million in healthcare products and cash, aimed at enhancing healthcare capacity and access for underserved populations. Through its Global Product Donation Program, the company has contributed more than $75 million in healthcare products to hundreds of nonprofits, benefiting hundreds of thousands of patients.
In response to over 30 disasters worldwide, Henry Schein donated $5.5 million in healthcare products and $2.1 million in cash grants, demonstrating its commitment to global health. One notable example is its response to the Ukraine crisis, where Henry Schein partnered with HIAS (originally the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) to provide mental health support for Ukrainian refugees.
As part of this effort, Henry Schein Cares launched the Ukraine Hygiene Pack Program, a global initiative addressing the humanitarian crisis by distributing hygiene packs containing toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and shampoo. More than 300 Team Schein Members, customers, and their families and friends participated in assembling these packs. Additionally, Henry Schein’s team members assembled 40,000 health and hygiene kits to support the Ukraine response.
Furthermore, through its Prepare to Care initiative, the Henry Schein Cares Foundation provides cash grants and pre-positions essential healthcare products annually for immediate disaster relief.
