The official launch of Private Sector Humanitarian Alliance (PSHA) in New York City marks a significant milestone for the initiative. The event featured remarks by the Prime Minister of Albania, leadership from UN OCHA, Mastercard, USAID, as well as other global dignitaries and business leaders across industries.

Why should the humanitarian world bring in the private sector? The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and PSHA collaborate to help vulnerable populations and "ensure that affected local private sectors have the support they need to recover and build resiliency" after disasters.

Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman highlighted the United States Agency for International Development's (USAID) approach in engaging the private sector on humanitarian assistance, and applauded PSHA's role in pioneering private sector engagement.
PSHA has established a strong governance structure and organizational frameworks, and now seeks an Executive Director that can drive development and programming.
